Emilie sat by herself in a little cafe on the boardwalk, overlooking the ocean. It was a little cloudy today, but it still looked beautiful. It was hard to get tired of the scenery at Sparrow Heights. She was thinking. About Troy...about Braxton and what all this meant for her. She knew Troy was the one she had feelings for, but what had came over her that night on the roof? She also knew Braxton had lots of friends with benefits and that what had happened probably didn't mean anything to him.
But that didn't change anything for her. Where did she stand with him? Did it really matter? And what about Troy? Emilie didn't even know if he liked her, even though he did kiss her. It could've just been a spur of the moment thing. His kiss meant more to her than Braxton's, much more. Was it wrong to want to be friends with benefits with Braxton and want to be Troy's girlfriend? It wasn't fair to Troy. But what he doesn't know won't hurt him...right? She certainly didn't want him to think she was a slut or something. Braxton was a really good friend, and good at keeping secrets. He wouldn't tell anyone. If she wanted some benefits, it shouldn't be a big deal.
She put her head down on the table, letting her long hair fall over her shoulders.

it lasted. He grabbed his skateboard from the dormitory and headed out. He had gotten it for Christmas last year from one of his friends. It was black with a white skull and crossbones painted on one side with some white blots splashed across it. Besides smoking and drinking, skateboarding was one of the better things Braxton liked to do in his spare time. The question now was where to go. He looked up at the sky, it was a pretty good day to head down to the beach, so that's where he decided to go. There was something about the water that calmed him, but the damn seagulls always ruined it. He hated the birds, any kind of bird, it didn't matter.
Braxton loved looking in the shops on the boardwalk, just peering in the windows because there was no way he could buy anything. His budget for the week was about -- however much pocket change he had currently in his jean pocket. He flipped the hood of his jacket on top of his head and pushed off on his deck, gliding past people on his board, and keeping his head straight.
He pushed off again in the direction of a local skate shop and stopped when he was in front of the large window. He pressed his face against the glass, his deck in his right hand, and looked at the gear and other things. His eyes drifted off to a cafe next door where he saw a girl with her head down. The red hair looked awfully familiar, and it was then that Braxton knew exactly who it was.
He walked away from the shop and headed inside the cafe, pulling his hood down a little so he could see clearly. He pulled a chair out from the table and sat down, kicking his feet up on the surface and leaning back on the legs of the seat. The cafe seemed a little fancy and people were giving him rather rude looks but he smirked and looked down at Emilie. "You know, you're supposed to eat in places like this..not sleep." He said.[/ul]

"I'm not sleeping," Emilie said, sitting up. "I was thinking. When did you get here?" She asked, having not noticed him come up and sit down.

He asked. Everyone seemed to be thinking lately. If Braxton had the ability, he probably would too, but he didn't like to let his thoughts worry him. He was just a laidback type of person, which bugged the shit out of some people. "A few seconds ago." He answered. Wow, he had actually managed to walk in a place without everyone noticing. It was just natural that he stuck out in places like he was wearing a big sign on his forehead that said freak in big bold letters.[/ul]

"Um nothing," She said, not wanting to concern him...or tell him actually. "Oh, I must've been out of it then," Emilie answered with a smile.

imagine himself in someone else's shoes. That's why he would be the worst actor on the planet, worse than Tom Cruise, because his natural self would always shine through.
He shook it off, not letting it get to him or not really caring, either way, it didn't matter much to him. "I just pop out of places randomly. It's a gift." He smiled, crossing his arms and taking his feet off of the table. He adjusted the hood of his jacket to where it was just above his eye. [/ul]

"Yeah, I noticed," She said, reaching for her glass. "So, what's up?"

He responded. "I've just been skating around, looking in windows at the stuff I can't afford. It's just awesome." He said in a sarcastic tone. He had tried many times to get a job out here on the boardwalk, he even became as desperate as trying to be a lifeguard to no avail. He couldn't keep one, but he needed the cash. He would either never show up for work or have to be asked many times to do something.[/ul]

"I haven't been doing anything either." She shrugged. "Wanna go for a walk down the boardwalk?"

He said rather loudly, making sure to be heard by the workers, who in turn sent him glares. They were all a bunch of stuck up pricks. The exact type of people Braxton loved messing around with. He knew exactly how to press their buttons. He stood up out of his seat and clutched his board. He walked towards the door, opened it, and walked out onto the wooden planks of the boardwalk. He turned around, pulling down the sleeves of his jacket as he waited for Emilie.[/ul]

Emilie stood up and followed him out onto the boardwalk. It was still nice outside and the air was cool as it got later in the afternoon.

thinking about?" He asked, trying to make some sort of coversation, and that was the only thing he could come up with. "Since I'm pretty sure you weren't thinking about absolutely nothing." He lifted the hood off of his head and smoothed down his hair.[/ul]

"I was thinking about something and no, I'd rather not tell you about it," She said with a mischeivous smile.

slowly rocking back and forth. He stuck his hands in his jacket pocket and smirked. He cocked his head to the side a little, letting his dark bangs swipe across his face. What was it with girls and playing hard to get?
He leaned against the wooden railing, taking his foot off his board and stared down at the water. "So are you saying that I've got to get it out of you?" He asked without looking up at her.[/ul]

"No. I'm just not gonna tell you." She smiled. "You wouldn't want to know anyway."
